Postdoctoral Associate in Nutrition

The Finkelstein Laboratory in the Division of Nutritional Sciences, Cornell University is seeking applications for multiple full-time postdoctoral associates to join a multidisciplinary research team focused on maternal and child nutrition. We are conducting several large randomized clinical trials, cohort studies, and surveillance programs, in South Asia, Central and South America, and the United States related to nutrition, epidemiology, precision nutrition, infectious diseases, and maternal and child health; funded by the National Institutes of Health, USDA, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The candidate will have a doctoral degree in nutrition, epidemiology, or related clinical or public health field. The postdoctoral associate will provide expertise in nutrition and epidemiology and develop scientific manuscripts and research grant applications, leveraging research from randomized clinical trials, cohort studies, and population-based surveillance programs. This position will be based in Ithaca, New York, with the potential for remote/flexible work and short-term fieldwork at international research sites. This is a full-time benefits eligible position which may be extended for up to 3 years depending on performance and continuation of funding.

Postdoctoral Associate in Biostatistics / Epidemiology

The Finkelstein Laboratory in the Division of Nutritional Sciences, Cornell University is seeking applications for a full-time postdoctoral associate in biostatistics/epidemiology. We are conducting several large randomized clinical trials, cohort studies, and surveillance programs, in India, Latin America, and the United States related to nutrition, infectious diseases, and maternal and child health; funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The postdoctoral associate will provide expertise in statistical analyses and assist with the development of scientific manuscripts and research grant applications. The candidate will work with large, complex datasets from recently completed randomized trials and prospective cohort studies. Responsibilities include cleaning datasets from recently completed research studies, database management, conducting statistical analyses (SAS or R), review/verification and archival of programs for research manuscripts, and providing support for other lab members designing and conducting statistical analyses for research manuscripts. This position will be based in Ithaca, New York, with the potential for remote/flexible work and short-term travel and fieldwork at our international research sites. This is a full-time benefits eligible position which may be extended for up to 4 years depending on performance and continuation of funding.

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Maternal and Child Nutrition

The Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Maternal and Child Nutrition (MCN) funded by a training grant from the National Institutes of Health. This is the longest-standing training program devoted to maternal and child nutrition in the United States. It brings together faculty across the disciplinary spectrum of nutrition – including molecular nutrition, human nutrition and metabolism, community nutrition, and international nutrition – to advance the nutrition and health of mothers and children.

Research will be conducted under the supervision of one or more of the MCN training program faculty. Emphasis will be placed on leading original research manuscripts; career development; and transition toward independent funding and an independent research career. Opportunities are available for classroom-based training and professional development in teaching, grant writing, scientific communication, and leadership. This position is based in Ithaca, NY. This is a full-time position, renewable on an annual basis, based on performance and continuation of funding. US citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.
